Oh, thank god. After months of speculation, leaving us all less and less hopeful as the weeks have gone on, Joe Biden is reportedly finally getting ready to announce that he’s running for President of the United States this week. Ed Henry of Fox News let the news spill in two back-to-back tweets late Monday morning, suggesting that official word might be out as soon as Saturday:

President Obama has yet to throw his support behind a Democratic candidate, but should Biden go forward with the announcement, it’s almost certain that he’ll get the presidential endorsement and assume front-runner status. I would not want to be within five square miles of Hillary if and when he drops the news, that is for damn sure.

Regardless of political affiliation, you have to admit that having old Joe Biden around for the next 12 months will make for an entertaining presidential race, if nothing else. It’s just a shame that he missed the opportunity at last week’s Democratic debate that our own Danger Guerrero was hoping for:

I mean, either way, the announcement should at least be accompanied by a woman in a bikini and heels walking back and forth across the stage behind him holding a BIDEN 2016 sign up over her head, right?
