It’s sort of remarkable to think that the whole Joseph Kony sh*tshow unfolded on the internet just as the Daily Show was wrapping up its work last week on Thursday. After all, it almost seems like an old story at this point. The life cycle of this thing sort of blazed by at the speed of light.
Nevertheless, Jon Stewart and his staff were able to find a fresh angle on the story last night — namely the “wait a minute we’ve been reporting about Kony for years” whining of old media types who appear legitimately butthurt that a well-made web video by some 20-ish bros could reach more people than their precious reports.
