Today is the first day of summer and on the East coast, we’re firmly in thunderstorm season. Here in Philly a couple of weeks ago we had one that took my trashcan with it, never to be seen again. I think it must have landed in Oz.
Likewise, many people in Miami are going to be wondering what happened to their patio furniture after a storm ripped though the city over the weekend. The dudes in the video above filmed tables, chairs, and cushions flying all over the place from an apartment (or possibly hotel?) balcony. But if you didn’t know any better you’d think they were watching damn NASCAR or something. “Cushion! Cushion!” one of the guys yells as someone’s cushion goes flying, while another excitedly shouts, “Look at that one!”
Not gonna lie, it does seem pretty entertaining. And you know, hopefully no one was injured or impaled by a flying patio table umbrella or anything! It’s all fun and games until someone gets impaled by a flying patio table umbrella, I always say.
