Helen Mirren isn’t here to put up with your bullsh*t, or any bullsh*t you might throw at Kim Kardashian. The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole actress (she’s been in many movies more notable than Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, but it’s fun to identify a dame as someone who was in a talking owl movie) recently said that she loves “shameless women” like selfie-queen Kim K. and the members of Russian punk-rock band Pussy Riot because they haven’t been “controlled by being shamed.”
“I love women who have claimed their own bodies: Madonna, Chrissie Hynde, Joan Jett, Bonnie Raitt. I love Pussy Riot more than anything in the world. They all raise their middle fingers to this epithet of ‘slut.’ They wear what they want to wear, behave as they want to behave.” (Via)
Mirren — or maybe it was her body double, no one can tell — admitted that she’s not a fan of the Kardashians, “but – and this is the big word: B-U-T-T – it’s wonderful that you’re allowed to have a butt nowadays.” She continued, “Thanks to Madame Kardashian, and before her, J-Lo, we’re also allowed to have thighs now, which is great too. It’s very positive.” There’s nothing but positivity when Helen Mirren’s praising Jennifer Lopez’s butt and thighs.
