How A Noel Gallagher Reference Became A Murderous, Racist Twitter Trending Topic

“If I Had a Gun” is the name of a song by former Oasis lead singer and guitarist Noel Gallagher and his band High Flying Birds from their 2011 self-titled debut album. According to What the Trend, it also became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter this week after Gallagher performed the track in Buenos Aires, Argentina this past Sunday. But like everything good (or at least not racist), once the Twitter hordes took over, it soon lost its original meaning and quickly became a way for people to discuss their most twisted death fantasies in public.
In related news: Noel blames his brother Liam for letting this happen. (Oasis jokes will never get old.) Here are some of the worst #IfIHadaGun tweets.
