As you may have heard, James Spader has been confirmed as Steve Carrell’s replacement to play the new boss at Dunder Mifflin on The Office. As someone who has been utterly fascinated by Spader — who also happens to be a fan of The Office — and his unique brand of creeptasticness ever since I saw him in Sex, Lies and Videotape over 20 years ago, this is fantastic news.
So, deciding that the occasion called for something special, I dug up a few photos of Spader playing the creepiest boss in the history of creepy bosses in Secretary and placed actual Michael Scott quotes over them, like in the one above. Though I doubt his character will be anywhere near as clueless and bumbling as Carrell’s character was, think of this as a possible preview of what’s to come. Enjoy…
