A Georgia Man Was Arrested After Allegedly Trying To Convince Police A Pound Of Marijuana Was ‘Salad’

Just to get it out of the way, yes, I’m going to say right off the bat that it’s really dumb and stupid that marijuana is still illegal in most states. Noted. However, if you happen to be dealing weed in a state where marijuana is not yet legal, one might expect a certain amount of discretion as far as how one chooses to conduct their business. In other words, don’t get caught with an entire pound of the stuff on you. Even if you do, for the love of Snoop Dogg whatever you do, don’t tell the cops it’s “salad.”

That what one man did late last week, when 26-year-old St. Marys, Ga. (Florida, basically) resident Richard Relliford was discovered to be hiding the the giant bag of marijuana during a traffic stop. The St. Marys Police Department posted the above image on their Facebook page with the caption: “No matter how hard you try to convince us this green leafy stuff is salad and you’re just coming back from the store going to make a chef salad, Well Sous Chef UP! A SALAD THIS IS NOT!!!”

Obviously. Because as everybody knows, you don’t win friends with salad. A giant pounder bag of weed on the other hand… Well, you might win some friends.
