“In the hood I had the most anticipated release since Mike Tyson…”

Hip-Hop’s littered with careers cut short by violence, both by artists at the top of their game and those who were never truly known beyond the city they grew up in. For Stack Bundles, he was in the middle. Not yet a household name, but one whose buzz was growing thanks to fans and industry peers alike beginning to take notice. “U Can’t Stop Me” is a double edged sword said to appear on the Pros & Cons DVD/CD package. New music from Stack is always a great thing, but a reminder of it being the only way to truly hold on to the past.

The record finds itself produced by another young man at the time who was on the road to superstardom, Kanye West. Those patented soul samples provide a time capsule of sorts to not only how Ye approached music, or how Stack ripped records with Joe Budden and Fabolous as apart of the “Triangle Offense” and later with Jim Jones and Max B, but also a peak into yesteryear in what phase of life we were in. Nothing hurts more in life than unrealized potential. Hip-Hop can attest to that.
