What Is This Creepy Light Coming From An Old Abandoned New Orleans Hospital?

New Orleans residents are reporting sightings of what appears to be a Christmas tree lit up in a window of the otherwise dark and abandoned Charity Hospital at the Tulane University School of Medicine, which has been shuttered since Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city in 2005. New Orleans’ WWLTV4 spoke to Mike Arbon, who posted the above pictures to Facebook Tuesday morning.

“It’s really pretty and little creepy,” Arbon said. “It gave me chills when I saw it and, of course, made me think of my brother, who passed away at Charity Hospital.”

In the hours since the story has surfaced on social media others have posted their own pictures, but so far no one seems to know what to make of it yet. Some have pointed out that the hospital still has power, but that wouldn’t explain why someone would set up a Christmas tree in an abandoned hospital. Christmas miracle or merry pranksters? You be the judge.
