The best kinds of animals, I think, are the ones who think they’re dogs. All that really means is that at some point, they realize you’re a friend who can be trusted and loved, someone deserving of their loyalty. Nibbles is a duck, but he has been Jonny’s friend since he was hatched. And now, Nibbles waits for Jonny, a human boy, to return home from school. Maybe Nibbles isn’t wagging his tail, but he’s very happy to see his human friend return to him and shower him with kisses.
It’s really a shame that ducks are so delicious because Nibbles is such a good friend.
