Obama Gives A Quite Animated Reading of 'Where The Wild Things Are'

Yesterday President Obama read loveable crank Maurice Sendak’s “Where The Wild Things Are” to a bunch of kids on the White House lawn and gave a performance so endearingly animated that even Glenn Beck’s website, The Blaze, couldn’t help but say nice things about it.

President Obama might inspire divisive feelings politically, but if there was ever any doubt that the president is great with kids, this video should put it to rest. In it, Obama reads the children’s classic “Where the Wild Things Are” to what sounds like a loud, excited crowd of children at the White House’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. But just wait until you see the pictures.

Of course, the comment thread on this Blaze post is a typical bastion of right-wing lunacy, so Obama will have to take what he can get. My personal favorite comment: “Keep this dirty pervert, obama, away from our children.”

AMERICA!

Video of the president’s dramatic reading is after the jump…

And, naturally, the internet is having some fun with Obama’s animated faces from the reading…
