Robin Williams Channeled Matthew McConaughey In A Video For A Woman With Cancer Shortly Before He Died

When nice guy Robin Williams wasn’t making millions of people laugh or visiting sick children in the hospital, he was impersonating Matthew McConaughey in a video message for a terminally ill New Zealand woman. Back in January, Vivian Waller was diagnosed with lung, bowel, and liver cancer. Knowing that she only had so much time before the inevitable, Waller put together a bucket list.

-Get married
-Celebrate her 21st birthday
-See her daughter celebrate her first birthday
-Travel to Rarotonga, the Cook Islands
-Meet Robin Williams

According to the Sunday Star Times, Waller, who accomplished everything but the trip, wasn’t able to physically meet Williams, “so one of her friends reached out to the comedian and he recorded a short video clip which he emailed to the family a few months ago.” Here’s what he had to say.

Her husband Jack hasn’t told her about what happened to Williams. “Viv struggles with a lack of energy and it is quite difficult for her to concentrate,” he said. “We are just enjoying the time we have together. We take things a day at a time.” A Facebook page has been set up to document her journey.
