A Woman Had A Live Shark Thrown In Her Pool As The Worst Prank Ever

If you ask me, pranks are fun ways of telling people how much you care in the form of intricate traps that test their agility and awareness. It’s like, give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you’ll feed him for a lifetime. By keeping your friends on their toes, you can be the Kato to their Pink Panther, and everyone deserves that kind of bond with another human.

When animals, or people get wounded in pranks there’s a major problem. Take for example Nicole Bonk, a Florida woman who recently found a near-dead shark in her chlorine-filled swimming pool, subject to some sort of sick prank. The 5-ft blacktip shark was barely alive as she and her husband witnessed it being dumped. They worked diligently to flush the shark with water to get the chlorine out, but they were likely unsuccessful in helping it:

“These two kids, they came back from fishing and threw this half-dead creature into the pool as a prank. They left the shark in the pool to die. I think they’re terrible children because it’s animal cruelty.

“We tried to revive him but he mostly likely did not live. He was barely moving after the trauma. We did our best to try to save this creature.”

Horrible. Of course, there’s one big question out there – why aren’t there any pictures of this shark? Yes, she was acting quickly with her husband to save the shark, but you’d think someone would’ve snapped a quick picture of the shark so they could at least identify it later, right? Either way, an animal shouldn’t die for a dumb joke.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is gathering evidence and trying to find who did this.
