The Cypher: Notorious B.I.G. Tribute Featuring A Slew of New York Rappers

BET and New York’s Hot 97 rounded up a who’s who in the New York rap scene to pay homage to the late, great Notorious B.I.G. With Mister Cee manning the turntables and “Who Shot Ya” as the beat backdrop, Lil Cease, Joell Ortiz, Maino, Uncle Murda, Fred Da Godson, and Joey Bada$$ all take their turns rocking the mic, each adding in a reference to Biggie in their lines. To be honest, the whole thing’s meh minus Joell’s jewel-dropping (“Chris Wallace we miss you, Pop Cristal for Jay he kept BK official, When you bump into Christopher Rios tell em Joell Christopher Rios is repping Puerto Rico”) but we’re all for paying respects to the game’s greats.
