As Dark Knight Rises hysteria has built up over the last several months I’ve seen comparisons here and there of Christopher Nolan’s trilogy to the three acts of a magic trick as laid out in the director’s most underrated effort, The Prestige. The most notable and striking comparison up until today has to be the GIF Wall created by Bruce Wayne’s Tumblr.
In The Prestige Michael Caine lays out the three parts to a master magician’s magic trick like only Michael Caine can, and now YouTuber Dominaz3000 has masterfully taken this narration and laid it over bits of the the trailers for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. The end result is fairly brilliant and essentially much must watch for anyone who loves Nolan’s work and/or “Come at Bane, Bro.”
