A Funny ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ Coincidence (And Pictures)

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens tonight at midnight, and it’s probably going to gross enough to buy so much cocaine. We’ve already posted some pictures and clips from the film, but there were several pictures released since then. We’re collecting them all in one place, minus the slideshow.

Also, a funny coincidence happened which we’re compelled to point out. Earlier this week, Vince rounded up angry comments from people adamantly disagreeing with negative reviews of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug even though the commenters hadn’t seen the movie yet. Earlier today, Olivia Solon tweeted this picture of Hobbit promotion.

“This trend of putting random people’s tweets about films they haven’t yet seen on movie posters is superlame,” Solon says. Oh man, I hope none of those angry commenters who haven’t seen the movie find out about her criticism of a poster employing Twitter praise from people who haven’t seen the movie. She’s gonna get called fake and gay so many times.

Here are the remaining pictures from this movie we haven’t seen yet.

I hope they’re singing “Hakuna Matata” in this scene.
