If you hadn’t already guessed by the ironic t-shirts and your entire Facebook feed being full of “only nerds will get this because Star Wars is not an easily recognizable piece of American pop culture” status updates, yesterday was May 4. Like “may the fourth be with you.” Get it? Nerd!
In order to celebrate the day in both the most fun, yet heartbreaking way possible, the good people at Wired spent 16 hours building a LEGO destroyer and then, in a nod to Return of the Jedi, broke it into a zillion pieces. Enjoy the final result as both the LEGOs and your heart shatter into millions of tiny pieces.
