We Dare You Not To Be In Awe Of These Vietnam War Vets Telling The Story Of The Greatest Beer Run Ever

The above documentary tells the story of John “Chickie” Donohue, a merchant marine from New York City, who — upon getting fed up with the “commie pinko lefties” demonstrating in Central Park — took it upon himself to fly to Vietnam with nothing but a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a heavy dose of chutzpah to buy his three closest friends serving in the war a beer. On June 30, 2015, Pabst reunited Chickie with his buddies for the first time since that fateful trip to Vietnam in 1968 to tell their story, and what transpired was an amazing tale of friendship and bravery.

The video originally premiered back in November 2015, but just having picked up viral steam after our friends over at BroBible happened upon it, we can’t think of a better time for the story of “the world’s greatest beer run ever.” Warm PBR has probably never tasted so good.
