2008’s The Dark Knight pretty much PWND everyone who saw it, not to mention it made a gravy boatload of well deserved cash. So it should come as no surprise why there’s such an expectation for director Christopher Nolan’s next film Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ellen Page. To say that I’d turn gay for this movie, would be an understatement. It would also be kind of disturbing.
Weekend of July 16th: Christopher Nolan’s Inception Hits Theaters
Details surrounding Inception have been kept tighter than a Thai boy’s thong. Where normally I’m annoyed by the Hollywood hype machine, frankly I believe Inception has earned it; the cast is fu–king great, the director is amazing and the budget was set at $200 million. I’m sorry, but I refuse to believe that those three ingredients will equal quail sh-t.
Dom Cobb [DiCaprio] is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. [IMDB]
Everyone’s favorite Kegel instructor and movie blogger, Vince Mancini, has been following the Inception excitement for months at FilmDrunk. Now, with just a week and a half left until the film’s theatrical release, I don’t know what the hell I’m going to do to keep myself busy? Maybe get a real job? Maybe read a book? Maybe, just maybe, continue to sit here and count the long hand on the clock? Do yourself a favor and be sure to check this movie out when it premiers. Despite what little we do know about Inception, it’s blindingly obvious that at least the visuals are nothing short of orgasmic.
Be sure and catch the featurette for a sneak peak at additional footage.
