30 Rock is finally back this week. FINALLY. Can't believe I'm typing that. TWICE. But it's been 8+ months people! It really is true that absence makes the heart grow fonder, because if you'd asked me a year ago if I was excited for that week's 30 Rock I would have been all "meh" and "I'll probably catch it on DVR over the weekend." Force an almost three quarter break from Jack Donaghy on me though and I'm business drunk with excitement for the return. Yes, my brain is essentially a Psych 101 textbook.
30 Rock no longer -- or maybe never did -- enjoy the fanaticism that it's NBC Thursday night cohort's Community and Parks do, but no one denies that Alec Baldwin's Jack Donaghy remains one of the most revered and celebrated characters on television and is the reason to watch even if you can't think of any other. And even though Donaghy multiplanes were already a a big hit (and there
may be definitely is some overlap) I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I passed up the opportunity to give Jack Donaghy the "Best of #" treatment at the first timely moment. "Because it's winning time, you magnificent son of a b*tch!"
