‘Food On My Dog’ Further Proves Who Man’s Best Friend Truly Is

I don’t recall exactly what it was I was searching for that led me to stumble upon the newish “Food On My Dog” Tumblr last night — I know that it had nothing to do with food or dogs, which says a lot about Tumblr’s search functionality, but that’s neither here nor there — but I’m thankful for having done so, for few things have made me laugh so ridiculously with unbridled joy in quite a while.

The premise of this site couldn’t be more simple: it’s a collection of photos some random guy took of his dog, Tiger, with food on its head. Naturally, it’s the look on the Tiger’s face that sells each pic — a perfect combination of “oh God I can’t believe my owner is going to embarrass me like this” and “please, please, please let me eat it PLEASE!” But Tiger, obviously a trooper of a dog (which I’m guessing is at least part pit bull), poses faithfully with everything from a taco to a set of Alaskan king crab legs on him. GOOD DOG! Try getting a cat to sit still to pose with a can of tuna on its head.

So how does Tiger’s owner get him to do it? Perhaps you’re wondering how to get your own pooch to such a disciplined internet laff machine? Well, take a look at a few of my favorite FOMD pics I’ve assembled after the jump and then go watch this video. Spoiler: doggie treats are involved. Shocking, right?
