I was a couple years removed from college when “bro” culture began to reign supreme. I like to think that “icing” would have never gone down on my watch, but I’m not Marky Mark, so there’s no way to know for sure.
That certainly doesn’t keep me from enjoying some laughs at bro vernacular though. So when Storytime Jesus turned me on to this new video where classic movies get subtitled for bros I had to give it a go. And wouldn’t you know it? They had me at “f*ck that noise.” I didn’t even find the shitty font all that discouraging.
The whole thing is part of the viral marketing for “On The Bro’d,” where Kerouac’s “On The Road” is rewritten for bros. I in no way get it or comprehend how that warrants a book deal, so it’s a good thing I like burritos.
