As anyone with a lick of good taste knows, Drive was easily the best movie of 2011, a film that will probably endure and evolve into a classic, leading people of the future to look back and wonder, “How the hell did that movie not get a Best Picture nomination?” Mark my words, friends. Mark my words.
As I’ve stated previously multiple times, a huge part of film’s appeal is its haunting and perfectly executed soundtrack, and after watching this I’m beginning to think that I’d watch just about anything set to “Nightcall” by Kavinsky (feat. Lovefoxxx). I’m sure this video featuring snowboarder John Lyke riding the rail at Sugarbush would have been compelling on its own, but laying “Nightcall” over it made it downright captivating.
