We met Laina Walker when she made a creepy, hilarious cover of Justin Bieber’s “Girlfriend” and a screencap from the viral video became the Overly Attached Girlfriend meme. That meme has had a good run, but it seems Walker is actually pretty cool. Maybe she’s just misunderstood. That’s where the Misunderstood Girlfriend meme comes in, but only after knocking first after having been given the address by a willing party.
The Misunderstood Girlfriend was introduced on Reddit last week and was tweeted about by Walker herself. Most of the image macros start out with something which sounds like a creepy Overly Attached Girlfriend behavior, but then it finishes with a reveal that she was doing the right thing all along.
