Louis C.K. only follows one person on Twitter: Colin Quinn. So it’s fitting that, after the announcement that Louis C.K. will host the November 3rd episode of Saturday Night Live, Colin Quinn took to Twitter to suggest sketches C.K. could perform.
Fortunately (unfortunately?) for Louis C.K., Colin Quinn uses Twitter to masterfully troll people, but his trolling is of the silly/funny variety rather than the skeezy/bigoted variety. Quinn has said (on the Opie and Anthony show, I believe) that nothing a stand-up comic does on Twitter will affect their ticket sales, and then he set out to prove it by turning his Twitter feed into a stream of anti-humor. His tweets are filled with intentionally hacky jokes and observations, characterized by the over-use of exclamation points, cheesy substitutes for swearwords, outdated references, schmaltzy idioms, and a misguided use of hashtags.
The sketches he suggested to Louis C.K. were magnificent. Even funnier than these awful sketches are the replies from people who aren’t getting the joke. We’ve collected these failed pitches below.
