Stop-Motion Mario Leaps Into The Real World

Generally, if you’re slumped against a wall, clutching a half-empty beer bottle, and you see Mario hopping around, it’s time to get to a hospital. Unless you’re in this video.

All of the sprites you’re about to see were assembled by hand with Perler beads, basically little plastic beads that you can easily assemble and melt together. They’re fairly popular to make into video game sprites, but this video takes it to extremes with dozens of sprites from Super Mario World and even Mario Kart, right down to the final boss:

Particularly impressive is when Mario starts dodging attacks on a moving car after driving through a Mario Kart course made entirely from Nintendo products. The only thing really missing is a Goomba stomp, but we guess you can’t have everything.
