Five years ago, YouTube sensation T-Baby told us just how cold it was in the D. Five years later, not much has changed for The Motor City.

Citing an increase in crime, decreased home values, unemployment and, just overall f*ckedupness, Forbes Magazine has crowned Detroit, Michigan as 2013’s most miserable city. Coming in second is Flint, Michigan and rounding out third is Rockford, Illinois.

18. Poughkeepsie, New York

19. Gary, Indiana

20. Youngstown, Ohio

Considering that 12 out of the 20 cities listed are located in the Midwest, we’ve come to the conclusion that the Midwest must be a miserable sh*thole of a place to live.
