Teenager Arrested For Changing Classmate’s Last Name In Yearbook To ‘Masturbate’

A 17-year old female student at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri probably thought that she was just pulling off an epic prank when she abused her godlike yearbook staff power to change another yearbook staffer’s last name under her photo to “Masturbate”. But when all 720 of the yearbooks were distributed that day, the joke quickly turned into the painful realization that she had just committed first-degree, felony property damage and harassment.

Had the act required the school to collect and reprint the yearbooks with the girl’s actual last name, it would have cost the school $41,000. Fortunately, they were able to collect the books that had already been distributed and instead place stickers over the tasteless fake last name.

As for the victim of this heinous prank, well, I can’t even imagine the fury that she and her parents delivered like a blow from the powerful hammer of Thor.

“I was kind of annoyed. It was stupid, but I wasn’t that upset,” she said. (Via the Columbia Daily Tribune)

Oh.

That’s actually a really commendable attitude. But why the hell did this happen in the first place? Were the two girls feuding over a boy? Is this part of an ongoing struggle between two adversaries that have never seen eye-to-eye?

… she and Booth worked together on the yearbook staff, and although they weren’t friends, she didn’t think Booth had any sort of issue with her.

“I was disappointed, but I didn’t know her well enough to be personally affected.”

Yeah, but you at least want her to pay for this action and learn her lesson the hard way, right?

“What she did wasn’t right, but I don’t think it should affect her for the rest of her life,” she said.

Wow. Apparently this girl picked the most mature target in her high school to prank. If this had happened to Taylor Swift, we’d have a deluxe, 2-disc album entitled, “Bate and Switch” in stores next week.
