This Seven-Year-Old's Soulful Rendition Of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' Will Give You Goosebumps

A seven-year-old stepped onto the Norway’s Got Talent stage last week and unleashed a soulful rendition of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday” that has to be heard to be believed.

The whiskey-soaked delivery belted by Angelina Jordan, who has been taking voice lessons for more than half her life, knocked the judges on their asses and brought tears to their eyes.

Angelina told Norway’s TV2 that she speaks English well enough to understand the song, which she stumbled upon by accident while trying to find a jazz track that would put her to sleep:

“It was a night I could not sleep and my mom was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed mum’s iPad where I would listen to jazz on YouTube before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and closed eyes. I am talking about jazz queen Billie Holiday […]

“Every time I sang it, I felt something special about it, it’s hard to explain in words. When I sang it for my mom, she said that this song is nice, but it was incredibly sad song.”

For comparison’s sake, here’s Billie Holiday ripping through the same track:
