Donald Trump On Donald Sterling: ‘He Got Set Up By A Very, Very Bad Girlfriend’

Now that everyone, from Magic Johnson and LeBron James to Snoop Dogg and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, has weighed in on Donald Sterling’s racist comments to his girlfriend/mistress/harbinger of doom, V. Stiviano, it was time that we heard from America’s foremost expert on everything – Donald Trump. The Celebrity Apprentice honcho made his weekly appearance on Fox and Friends this morning, and of course the topic of Sterling came up, because that’s what all the cool kids have been talking about in the parking lot of the drive-in movie theater.

Trump is probably one of the most qualified people to speak on this specific matter, because his name is also Donald and he has previously started rumors about wanting to own a professional sports team. Hell, Trump is usually credited with the downfall of the USFL, and not many people can say that they ruined an entire league. As for Sterling’s current woes, that include some Los Angeles Clippers sponsors taking a walk, Trump admits that what the Clippers owner said was “despicable” and will likely have him booted from the NBA, but also that Stiviano basically knew that she was baiting a clueless old man.

“She was baiting him and she’s a terrible human being,” he said. “The way she led him along, I mean — he should know if he were there, if he was with it, he would know after one or two of those questions that she was asking that there’s something going on here. You look at the way he’s being baited, just constantly being baited. I read part of the transcript and it was ridiculous. You sort of pick that up very quickly.” (Via Mediaite)
