Hilary Duff Has Finally Responded To Aaron Carter’s Claims Of Undying Love For Her

Aaron Carter’s obsession with Hilary Duff has been well documented at this point, as he took it upon himself to express his endless, unrequited love for his ex-girlfriend on Twitter back in March of this year, in the wake of the announcement of Duff separating from her husband Mike Comrie. In case you forgot or were living somewhere without ready access to fresh water or Us Magazines from 2001-2003, Carter and Duff dated over ten years ago when they were both up and coming teeny-boplets, until the fire crotched temptress Lindsay Lohan came along like a Greek siren and lured Carter away from Duff with her raspy-breathed song.

Well, ever since those days Aaron Carter has lived a tortured man — left to live a shell of an existence due to the repercussions of his actions. Hilary Duff, on the other hand, got married and had a baby, and is probably reconciling with her husband after all. Last time Duff was questioned about Carter’s creepy professions of love, she had no comment — however Buzzfeed interviewed her in Sydney this week, and she was finally ready to entertain the question:

And then we asked the big question: “Aaron Carter keeps declaring his love for you, how do you feel about it?”

Hilary: (laughs) I was not expecting this question. He does, I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that. I don’t know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I’m still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just…

…Don’t know each other?

Hilary: Yeah, don’t know each other…so…yeah.

So it’s just weird.

Hilary: (laughs) You said it, not me!

By the way, that is literally the only portion of the interview Buzzfeed published because they needed the room for excessive gifs, so if you’re wondering what Hilary Duff is doing in Sydney in the first place then you’re sh*t out of luck. Anyway, sorry Aaron Carter. I guess there are worse things than The One Who Got Away basically just laughing at your feelings. She could have ripped out your heart, Mortal Combat style? Actually laughing is probably still worse.
