Jennifer Lawrence’s Lawyers May Hit A Legal Snag In Trying To Remove Her Nude Photos From The Internet

A whole bunch of people are going to get in a lot of trouble for the nude celebrity photo leak — it’s just a matter of finding the culprits, and then figuring out exactly what they can be charged with. Many of the females whose photos were stolen have already threatened legal action, including Jennifer Lawrence, who also wants the pictures scrubbed from the Internet. She may have a problem there.

Sources connected to the investigation tell TMZ…Lawrence’s attorney fired off a letter to a porn website demanding it take down the nude photos of J-Law because she owns the copyright on the pics. We’re told the website isn’t buying that argument though.

The site’s stance is since some of the pics are NOT selfies, the person who actually took those photos would most likely hold the copyright. In its response to Lawrence’s attorney we’re told the site is demanding proof of Jennifer’s copyright, or the name of the person who snapped the shots. (Via)

Meanwhile, anyone who shared photos of McKayla Maroney is going to be in big trouble.

Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney reportedly has taken legal action over nude pictures allegedly hacked from her account over the weekend, claiming that she was underage when they were taken.

An attorney for the double Olympic medalist contacted the website Porn.com, which had posted the images, and demanded that they be removed immediately. A second attorney contacted other sites claiming that Maroney owned the copyright on the photos. (Via)

This whole story keeps getting more and more skeevy. No one should be impressed.
