Ray J Wants You To Know You Have God To Thank For America’s Kardashian Problem, Not His Sex Tape

Ray J appeared on Huffington Post Live yesterday evening to promote the new season of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood and of course they asked him about the Mimi-Nikko sex tape, because we all know Ray J is an expert when it comes to celebrity sex tapes. This in turn prompted him to speak about his own experience with sex tapes, namely the Kim Kardashian one that unleashed the Kardashians onto our great nation. Here’s what Ray J’s brain vomited on the issue:

“I personally don’t think that’s a road anybody should go down. I don’t applaud myself for anything in that world,” he said. “I’ve grown from it and I’ve learned from it. But, at the same time, I don’t applaud myself for it.”

He told host Marc Lamont Hill that he believes the sex tape played no part in Kardashian’s international celebrity.

“Nope. God did that. I just leave it alone. God made all the success happen,” he said. “When people say, ‘You put this person on,’ listen: God did that.”

Well, so much for a just and benevolent god. I guess it’s a better excuse than “I was drunk,” though. Robin Thicke could learn a thing or two from Ray J. Although let me be clear when I say I am in no way implying that I’d want to see a Ray J sex tape.
