Dave Grohl, Bruce Springsteen And Rihanna Are Headlining A Veterans Day Concert In DC

Go ahead and set your DVRs to record HBO at 7 PM ET on Tuesday, November 11 if you’re a subscriber to the cable network, because there’s a doozie of a live concert in the works for Veterans Day. If you’re not a subscriber, either make arrangements to steal your neighbor’s cable or watch with a friend, because otherwise you’re going to miss out on what people are bound to start calling the Concert of the Century, as Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Eminem, Rihanna, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band are all performing at “The Concert for Valor” on the National Mall in Washington DC.

According to the Washington Post, the event is being hosted by HBO and Starbucks, with as many as 250,000 people expected to attend. Even for as large of a number as that is, it still seems pretty light for an event that will also feature appearances by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, Jamie Foxx and John Oliver, among others. Again, HBO will be airing the concert live, in case you’re the type of person who is close enough to DC to attend, but doesn’t want to deal with the traffic, both on the roads and for the port-o-potties.

Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on whether or not Grohl will use this event to once again endorse the Boss for president.
