Brad Pitt And One-Half Of The Jolie-Pitt Brood Attended The ‘Unbroken’ Premiere In Angelina Jolie’s Place

Over the weekend Angelina Jolie released a video statement claiming that she would not be able to attend the premiere or publicly scheduled events for her second directorial endeavor, Unbroken, due to an outbreak of the chicken pox. So in an effort of solidarity, last night her husband Brad Pitt attended the premiere in her place, along with a rare public appearances from three out of six of their children — Maddox, 13; Pax, 11; and Shiloh, 8 — and his parents, Will and Jane Pitt. Us Weekly reports:

“It was a family night out and you could tell the movie meant so much to both Brad and Angelina for them all to be there and support her,” an onlooker tells Us Weekly. “You could tell how important it was for him to be there to promote the movie. Brad tried to make the experience as relaxed and easy as possible for the kids. He stayed on the carpet to do interviews solo and the kids walked away.”

No word on where Zahara, Vivienne, or Knox Léon were. I can only imagine they were laid up with their mom with a case of the chicken pox. Because if there’s one thing I know about having kids, it’s that it’s like fighting a constant battle of biological warfare in your own home.

In other news, it appears that Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, dressed in a dapper little suit, continues to be the most beautiful and perfect human child in the history of mankind. My god, the kid is like a perfect 50/50 amalgam of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. One day she will rule us all.
