Here’s The Dramatic Ending To The Hostage Situation In Sydney, Australia

An Iranian born gunman named Man Haron Monis was killed today after a 16-hour standoff with police in Sydney, Australia. Hostages were seen fleeing the scene as law enforcement peppered the Lindt Chocolat cafe with gunfire and a stream of stun grenades. Sadly, one hostage was killed in the ordeal and several others were injured.

Monis was facing multiple charges of sexual assault and was charged as an accessory in the murder of his ex-wife. During the standoff, he repeatedly asked for an ISIS flag, though it doesn’t appear (for now) he had any direct link to the terrorist group.
