Tom Cruise does all of his own stunts — including hanging off the side of a plane at 5,000 feet — but that doesn’t mean he’s immune to the perils of everyday life. He still has to look both ways before crossing the street like the rest of us.
That much was clear when Cruise stepped onto a London street while filming the fifth Mission Impossible flick without his head on a swivel, nearly walking into the path of a red double-decker bus. Unfortunately, the incident wasn’t suspenseful enough to setup a real life dramatic running sequence, as a quick beep of the horn sent Cruise scampering back to the curb.
