A Police Officer In Rochelle, New York Pulled His Gun On Two Guys For Having A Snowball Fight

With all the fresh pow pow on the ground from last week’s massive blizzard in the northeast, neighborhood kids are out in force — making snowmen, building snow forts, and stockpiling snowballs for the coming winter war. Every now and again, the older kids and the adults will get involved in the escalating conflict. At least, so long as there isn’t a cop around to bring a gun to a snowball fight.

According to LiveLeak, the incident occurred last “Wednesday, after New Rochelle received a heavy snowfall during Winter Storm Juno.” No other details are known, though the city of Rochelle has recently been involved in the ongoing debates regarding police training and body cameras:

New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson and Council Member Jared Rice have been raising the issue of police training in the context of the Eric Garner and Michael Brown grand jury decisions. Rice has asked that Police Commissioner Patrick Carroll consider issuing body cameras.

Until then, kids, it looks like the oncoming snow wars will have to wait. In the meantime, you can always put some of your stockpiled snowballs in the freezer. This will certainly give you the advantage once this latest cop-with-a-gun video blows over.
