Earlier today, self-described “out of work actor” Val Kilmer took to social media to address yesterday’s rumored hospital visit. No, it didn’t have anything to do with a new movie role or his fantastic artwork. Instead, TMZ broke the news that Kilmer had been rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered a throat tumor and had to operate.
Now it seems the “gossip column” types didn’t know what they were talking about. At least, that’s according to Kilmer’s Facebook page, where the actor (or an intermediary) decided to set things straight:
Considering Kilmer’s professed adherence to the tenets of Christian Science, this overwrought excuse for visiting the hospital sounds like something a kid would tell his parents to explain a recent detention visit. Not satisfied with the initial post, he returned with another one 12 hours later:
It’s okay, Iceman. So you had a little personal trouble and had to see the doctor about it. We won’t tell on you. We promise. And as you know, wingmen and women never break their promises.
