YouTube user Zwier Spanjer just got himself a new DJI Phantom 2, a drone that retails for as much as $700. To celebrate, he took it out for a day of flying, capturing some lovely landscapes in the process. The only problem? Batteries don’t last forever.
“After a whole day of flying my new DJI phantom 2 without any problems this happened because the battery was depleted…” he wrote. It’s true, technology will do that to ya on occasion. The above clip, though only 90 seconds in length, has some neat footage which can be seen as two acts in a drama:
1) In its weakness, the mighty drone gracefully falls from the sky toward mother earth.
2) A frantic Spanjer leaps heroically to save his prized possession from aquatic destruction.
Or, you know, it’s just a lesson to CHARGE YA DAMN BATTERIES!
