Astronaut Terry Virts Paid Tribute To Leonard Nimoy From The International Space Station

Just before 11 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, the International Space Station’s orbit brought it over the eastern seaboard of the United States — specifically Cape Cod and the cities of Boston and Cambridge. When the arm of Massachusetts and its protected bay came into view, astronaut Terry Virts paid tribute to Leonard Nimoy‘s home town with the Vulcan salute. Virts took a photo of the famous hand sign and tweeted it without comment.
