Everyone knows that Amy Schumer is a force to be reckoned with. Unapologetic, honest, smart, clever, all that great stuff makes her hilarious. She’s also more than eager to use the dreaded “f-word” in public. Not the one you’re probably thinking of, but “feminism.” Yeah, get into it. While appearing at SXSW to promote her movie Trainwreck, Amy Schumer proclaimed her status as a feminist, and she’s not going to back off from it.
“I wanna get [the word ‘feminism’] tattooed on my clit,” Amy Schumer announced recently at SXSW, where she’s debuting the comedy Trainwreck. …
Schumer continued, “I think people don’t know what the word ‘feminism’ means.” Asked to define the F word, Schumer didn’t hesitate to answer, “Social and political equality for women. I think if you’re against that, you’re a crazy person, or you don’t know what it means, and that we don’t actually have it is a bummer.”
First thing: Get on board with feminism. There is no reason not to, unless, like Schumer said, you’re a crazy person. Second thing: Never argue with a woman who says she’d get a tattoo on her clit. Read about the clit. Learn about the clit. Know the clit. Understand the clit. The clit is serious business, but allowing needles attached to motors anywhere near the clit is deadly serious business.
