Paul Walker’s estate has sued the estate of the driver in the crash that killed them both, but not for the fatal accident. They allege that the driver, Roger Rodas, failed to return 17 cars to Walker prior to their deaths and Rodas’s estate has refused to return them to Walker’s estate.
The suit further alleges that following Walker’s death, Rodas’ estate sold certain vehicles belonging to the actor and did not give the proportionate share to his estate for the sales.
On Nov. 24, 2014, the suit claims that Walker’s estate filed a Creditor’s Claim seeking the return of the vehicles and the monetary share of sales. The suit claims that on Dec. 23, 2014, Rodas’ estate filed a Rejection of Creditor’s Claim rejecting the claim.
Walker’s estate is suing for the return of the vehicles, or value of the vehicles if they cannot be delivered, along with to be determined compensatory damages. It is also seeking “compensatory damages for the value of the property converted and for the proximate and foreseeable loss resulting, therefrom in an amount to be determined at the time of trial.”
Walker’s estate is demanding a trial by jury.
