When the continuous eruption of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano began flowing into nearby Pahoa, it produced images that were both sad and shocking (the town after all was at risk of losing homes and businesses to the lava) and absolutely beautiful. Lance Page, a native of the Big Island as well as a filmmaker, clearly agreed, and filmed the flow for two weeks capturing close-up images of Kilauea’s beautiful disaster.

Luckily life in Pahoa is getting back to normal with businesses rebuilt and reopening.
