This ‘Uptown Funk’ Parody Shows That SpaceX Really Can Do Important Work

It wouldn’t be that bold of a claim to call Elon Musk‘s SpaceX one of the most important companies in the world. Their work on spacecrafts, plans for manned missions to Mars, and innovation in engineering is breathtaking and nearly overwhelming. So, of course, when they release a parody video bragging about their accomplishments, it’s one of the very few corporate videos we actually laugh with and not at. (We’re talking to you, Sizzler.)

In the above video, a decidedly nerdier Bruno Mars and company seamlessly change up the unavoidable hit “Uptown Funk” and make it about rockets, Mars travel, and how Elon Musk is basically an IRL Iron Man.

Sure, SpaceX does incredible culturally significant work with NASA and the effort to commercialize space travel, but really, this is where they shine. They clearly should give up this space race with Boeing and Lockheed Martin, and just make diss videos directed at them. Or, you know, change the world. Either one is fine.
