A Chinese woman gave birth alone on the floor of an internet cafe, after which she returned to her video game.
The unidentified 24-year-old woman had left home after a fight with her family. She was waiting for her boyfriend at an internet cafe in Nanchang, China, when she went into labor. No one in the cafe even knew that she was giving birth until they heard her newborn daughter crying:
One patron offered the woman warm water to clean herself but she declined. Instead, the 24-year-old woman from Shandong insisted on resuming her online game.
Shocked by this, some patrons wrapped the baby with a piece of cloth and called for an ambulance.
When medics arrived, she walked herself to the ambulance, and she and her infant daughter were whisked off to the hospital, where she was joined by her boyfriend and family.
None of the news reports of this unusual birth answer the most important question. What video game could she possibly be playing that she couldn’t turn it off, even in the midst of labor pains? Was this a World of Warcraft situation or perhaps League of Legends or Dota 2? Whatever it was, depending on one’s point of view, this woman is either hardcore or completely mental.
