Ben Carson is calm and ready, even with palms so sweaty and knees-weak-mom’s-spaghetti. On Monday evening, when he announced his bid for the President of the United States of America, he had to make an impression. Go big or go home, as they say.
The Detroit native and Yale grad is the conservative soup du jour, crossing small-government rhetoric with a dash of microwave-dinner showmanship to create the kind of spectacle that might vault him to a nomination. Here is his choir performing Eminem’s 2003 hit “Lose Yourself” as a way to introduce him on the election scene:
Carson’s theatrical announcement event included a gospel choir singing a medley topped by Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.”
That is a correct factual description.
