Linday Lohan’s Community Service Is About To Wreak Havoc At A Brooklyn Day Care

In case you’re not caught up, Lindsay Lohan is having some issues completing her court-ordered 30 days of community service. This stems from a reckless-driving charge from an incident in 2012, in which she was caught lying to police about being the passenger in her Porsche when it rear-ended a truck when she was, in fact, the driver. After blowing through her deadline earlier this year, she tried to argue that hanging out with fans should count toward her goal and later had Esurance donate money to her charitable organization.

The judge was not buying it, though, and gave her until the end of May to complete her community-service hours or get thrown in jail. TMZ is reporting that Lohan has just 16 days to get in a whopping 115 hours. Having just returned from London, she’s planning to make up those hours — wait for it — at a day care center.

Lohan will ostensibly (I say “ostensibly” because I give this three days) spend the next couple of weeks at the Duffield Children’s Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, interacting with actual children. Duffield officials are already preparing for the worst, however, in this note they sent home to parents that was obtained by Page Six, which assures families Lindsay Lohan will never, ever be left alone with their children.

“Ms. Lohan has asked to return to complete her community services and may be placed in a classroom with your child,” wrote Ivonne Lopez, the center’s early-childhood education director.

“As with any volunteer, this would be under constant supervision from the classroom teacher and Duffield staff. Please know that all requirements for this volunteer work will be met, prior to her entering the classroom. Furthermore, volunteers are never left alone with children,” the letter says.

The letter also said to parents that they were welcome to come “observe” their child in Lohan’s care at any time, which will almost definitely not end in any kind of circus. But if human beings were able to build pyramids, then I have faith that Lindsay Lohan can do this, too.
