Yes, A Man Tried To Sell A Live Shark Outside A Grocery Store In Florida

Here’s an extra Florida-y Florida story. A man in Fort Lauderdale attempted to sell a live shark outside a Publix grocery store over the weekend. When it became clear no one was in the market for a wonderful new pet, he released the poor creature back into the ocean and told WSVN-TV 7 that he won’t do it again now that he knows it’s illegal.

According to the Sun Sentinel, officials may investigate, but some passersby were apparently not surprised or thrown off by the sight of a guy trying to sell a street shark. Honestly, why would they be? This is just par for the course for Florida weirdness.
