Humans and dogs share a special bond that cannot be explained in words. Love, loyalty, and companionship all come to mind. Sometimes a dog can tell the story better.
An English photographer and rock climber, Ben Moon, made a short film about his dog, Denali. The video is told from Denali’s perspective and details how he stuck with Ben through a battle with stage 3 colorectal cancer. Denali stayed in the hospital with his owner and saw him through endless chemo sessions. Ben got better with the support of his loyal canine, and the two continued their roadbound adventures together.
Sadly, Denali fell ill with cancer in 2014. His death was swift. A simple goodbye wasn’t enough, so Ben crafted this exquisite, heart-wrenching video. Yes, this is a tough one to watch but so worth it: “When someone you love walks through the door, even if it happens five times a day, you should go totally insane with joy.”
